CCPA Notice for California Residents
Your rights under the CCPA / CPRA ยท Last updated: April 21, 2026
Overview
This CCPA Notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to residents of California under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). It also describes rights that residents of other US states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others) may exercise. Where required, we honor equivalent requests from residents of those states.
Quote Bureau is an independent insurance comparison and marketing platform. We are not an insurance agent, broker, or carrier. This notice explains what personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, and the rights you have over it.
Categories of Information We Collect
Identifiers such as your name, email address, telephone number, and ZIP code. Commercial and insurance-related information such as vehicle, property, or health-related details you submit through a quote request. Internet and network activity such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and pages visited. Geolocation data derived from your ZIP code or IP address. Inferences drawn from the above to match you with relevant insurance providers.
We collect this information directly from you when you complete a form, automatically through cookies and similar technologies, and in some cases from third-party partners such as data verification services.
How We Use and Disclose Information
We use your information to match you with licensed insurance carriers and their authorized agents, to generate comparative quotes, to communicate with you, to operate and improve our platform, and to comply with legal obligations.
We disclose your information to licensed insurance carriers and their agents so they can contact you and provide quotes, and to service providers who help us operate the platform (such as hosting, analytics, and communication vendors). We do not disclose your information to third parties for their own independent marketing without a lawful basis.
"Sale" and "Sharing" of Personal Information
Under the CCPA/CPRA, the transfer of consumer information to insurance partners in exchange for value may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information at any time.
To opt out, use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age.
